Captain Robert “Gus” Gusentine

Captain Gusentine is a 28-year Veteran of the United States Navy with significant experience leading collaborative, high-performance teams in dynamic and challenging circumstances worldwide. Gus, as friends and Teammates know him, served in over 30 countries working closely with senior foreign officials, U.S. Ambassadors, and the U.S. Interagency. He is now course director and primary instructor for U.S. SOCOM’s Strategic Leaders Course and a Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow with the Council of Independent Colleges.  A strategic and innovative planner with a strong ethical record of solving complex problems, Gus served on the Chief of Naval Operation’s Strategic Studies Group and led a cyber assessment team on the Joint Staff before closing out his military career in 2014.  He enjoys painting in oil and watercolor; a portion of his work can be viewed here: http://rvgusentine-art.com/home.html
